I recently saw the film "Farmaggedon," a documentary that tells the stories of several small farms and co-ops that have been unfairly raided, destroy and forced to close by the FDA and USDA. While the narration is a bit preachy and the film clearly low budget, it tells the disturbing truth: the FDA and USDA are at war with small farms, and raw milk farmers in particular. Why?

In my experience, there are far too many people who are content to tow the party line, never really looking at the issues and the candidates, and then deciding for themselves. Instead, they often approach voting with a strong "knee-jerk" tendency.

But as a voter, I think it is my responsibility to make the most informed decisions possible. With that in mind, I created this blog as a place for political discussion.
